Where did krumping originate from:

Krumping is a popular street dance in the United States. It is performed with exaggeration and tremendous energetic movement. Krumping was introduced by the professional krumpers Ceacare Willis known as Tight-Eyes and Jo'Arts known as Big Mijo in Los Angeles during the 2000's.

The inventors of Krumping Tight-Eyes and Big Mijo eventually departed and started to maturate their own style which is known as Krumping. Clowning which is a less aggressive type of krumping style was created in 1992 by Tommy Johnson known as "Tommy The Clown". In 1990"s Tommy and his crew dancers known as the "Hip Hop Clowns" started painting their faces and performed at children's birthday parties just for enjoyment.Sooner or later Ceacare opened a clown dancing academy and started Battle Zone competition at the Great Western Forum where crews and clown crews could come together and battle in front of audiences.
